| Description | The Aerosoft GmbH was founded in 1991 at Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport, Germany. In the early years the main area above all was the development of training software and software for the examination preparation for pilots as well as professional procedure training. As early as 1992 the first additional software (Add-on) for the then Microsoft Simulator 4.0 was introduced.
In the 90`s the focus turned to the development and publishing of high-end add-ons for the Microsoft Flight Simulator. Apart from the Add-ons for the Microsoft Flight Simulator, Aerosoft has developed and marketed its own hardware for Flight Simulation since 1992.
In 2002 the first Add-ons for the newly developed Microsoft Train Simulator were introduced and marketed world wide under the brand `Train-World´.
With a total of 20 employees and more than 30 freelance developers, Aerosoft is one of the leading software publishers of Flight and Train Simulation offering 25 to 30 new products every year. The high quality standards of the products have been proved time and again by the many international awards
bestowed upon Aerosoft. Increasing interest in the products from airlines, pilots and flying instructors illustrate the reality to today's PC-Flight Simulators.
Since January 2004 a large part of the development is being co-ordinated by an office in France.
In the summer of 2005 Aerosoft also opened a branch in Canada, aiming at the North American market and pushing new developments in the world of train simulation. |
