HA NOI, VIETNAM, August 2008 – The Vietnamese Air Traffic Management administration (VATM) contracts the German ATC supplier COMSOFT to supply a leading-edge Aeronautical Information System (AIS), together with equipment and associated services. The new system will cover all Aeronautical Information Services in full compliance to the current ICAO SARPs, with integrated workflows for NOTAM, MET, flight planning, MAP/Chart, electronic AIP, search and rescue, and web-based integrated briefing services. COMSOFT’s Aeronautical Data Access Systems (CADAS) form the core of the AIS and are ideally supplemented by market-leading products like the ESRI charting software and the electronic AIP product GroupVerve of COMSOFT’s partner company Synclude.

In Vietnam, four fully redundant server systems and a large number of terminals will be installed in several locations. The main centre will be set up in Gia Lam, close to the capitol Ha Noi, the three subsystems will be sited at the country’s international airports.

With the launch of this COMSOFT system, featuring a host of innovative characteristics, the VATM will easily cope with the increasing demands on air traffic management of today and tomorrow.

COMSOFT GmbH was established in 1979 and has been active in the ATC domain for over 20 years. The company has currently three operational AIS installations in the Asia-Pacific region with Macao and Pakistan to follow this year.
