CAE launches first advanced simulation-based maintenance program for Boeing 737NG

World Airline Training Symposium (WATS), Orlando, June 13, 2007 – (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) – CAE has launched the first advanced simulation-based program for Boeing 737NG maintenance type training. With European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval, this innovative course will be delivered in Amsterdam starting in June 2007. As always with CAE’s training solutions, the training methodology within this program is focused on improving operational effectiveness. A unique feature of this program is that it integrates state-of-the-art virtual environments to provide a widely accessible, highly operational efficient training solution.

“What sets us apart is our ability to integrate CAE’s Level D high-fidelity simulation into practical solutions that emphasize a philosophy of learning by doing early in the technician’s training,” said Jeff Roberts, CAE’s Group President, Innovation and Civil Training & Services. “This provides flexibility and access to operations with less dependency on aircraft and high-end training devices.”

For Boeing 737NG operators, the result of CAE’s new program may include improved aircraft turnaround times related to faults, reduced operational costs related to no-faults-found, reduced out-of-service hours, improved accuracy of estimated time returns; reduced repeat write-up rates; and improved employee engagement. The new course can be deployed at any customer location or within CAE’s worldwide network of training centers.

CAE is demonstrating its new simulation-based maintenance program for Boeing 737NG in Booth #325 this week at the WATS conference and exhibition.
