Its efficiency, state-of-the-art avionics and outstanding flight characteristics have yet again resulted in a twin-engine DA42 Twin Star being chosen as the best training aircraft, this time for future airline pilots at Turkish Airlines. The aircraft was delivered to Turkish Airlines in Wiener Neustadt on 5 June 2007 and flown to Istanbul the next day.
