Embraer holds 16th Brazilian operators conference: Event attended by 22 operators who use turboprops manufactured by the Company

São José dos Campos, August 8, 2008 – Embraer held the 16th Brazilian Operators Conference (Conferência de Operadores Brasileiros – COB), August 6 to 7, in Salvador, Bahia, which was attended by owners of turboprop airplanes manufactured by the Company. Besides bringing together the operators who fly in Brazil, the event reflects Embraer’s commitment to adequately support all of its customers, with regard to its entire line of products, in all marketplaces where the Company is involved.

“This conference is important, because it gets customers, suppliers and Embraer together to exchange experiences and identify key issues that affect our operators’ businesses,” says Acir Padilha, Embraer Vice President, Customer Support – Airline Market. “The number of participating companies has grown every year, showing that the event has been adding value to both the discussion of technical issues and the search for practical and competitive solutions.”

The conference has met without interruption, since 2004, and this one involved 22 operators, including the Brazilian Air Force (Força Aérea Brasileira – FAB) and 11 suppliers, for a total of over 100 attendees. The group that met in Bahia operates a fleet of more than 130 aircraft – EMB 110 Bandeirante, EMB 120 Brasilia, and EMB 121 Xingu – on regional and charter flights throughout Brazil.
